As we update the Town’s flood emergency response plan, a new protocol has been implemented. During May 15 – July 15 flood season, sandbags will be delivered to community halls. Sandbags are currently stored at East Coulee, Rosedale, Nacmine, Wayne and Midland Community Halls for use by residents if flooding becomes imminent. 

As of this week’s weather forecast, the AB Rivers app doesn’t forecast flooding in the valley. As we ask residents to practice their evacuation plans and review their 72-hour kits, we need to pre-position critical material as we practice our new protocols.
