MEDIA RELEASE February 17, 2021For immediate release Beginning the week
There is no mistaking that Drumheller is a flood community – it is our number one risk.
Part of our municipal plan is a public education campaign and making sure our residents are informed so they have the knowledge and tools to plan ahead and take action for the upcoming flood season.
The purpose of this office is to protect the people and property in Drumheller from loss due to flooding through a sensible model for a small community to adapt to the perils of changing climate.
Everyone has a role to play in flood readiness by being informed, planning ahead and taking action when the time comes.
As a municipality, it is our duty to do what we can to protect the residents, property, environment and economy during natural disasters.
The latest information on being flood ready with updates, news and press releases. Stay up to date!
