There is no mistaking that Drumheller is a flood community – it is our number one risk.

Part of our municipal plan is a public education campaign and making sure our residents are informed so they have the knowledge and tools to plan ahead and take action for the upcoming flood season.

Facebook Live - Flood Mitigation Impacts on Land Use

The Drumheller Resiliency and Flood Mitigation Office is preparing statutory documents for an updated Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB) – the most visionary documents for Town planning. These documents lay the foundation on how we as a community can adapt to the future.
