Attention East Coulee residents! 

We have an important update regarding the Elm trees in our community. Please take a moment to read this message.

We wanted to inform you that two Elm trees are being removed from our neighbourhood. But don't worry, this removal is permitted, as the entire tree, including the stump, will be taken away to the landfill to mitigate any Dutch Elm Disease concerns. We want to assure you that there are no bird nests in these trees, so our feathered friends will not be affected.

You may be wondering why these trees weren't removed earlier. Well, they were actually growing through a shed, which made removal impossible. However, the shed has recently been dismantled, and now we have the opportunity to remove these trees safely.

Apart from the two Elm trees, no additional tree removal is anticipated in the next few weeks. However, there might be some pruning and trimming required in other areas to facilitate construction work. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

As the removal takes place, we kindly remind all residents to respect the workers and allow them to perform their jobs without interruptions. This respectful workplace policy applies to both Town contractors and Town staff. The Town of Drumheller and its contractors prioritize safety and have implemented strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of workers and visitors on the site. These measures include the use of safety gear, installation of barricades, and prominent warning signs.

We ask all residents to respect and adhere to these safety protocols. Unauthorized entry into the construction site without proper authorization is strictly prohibited. By doing so, you not only put yourself at risk but also jeopardize the safety of others.
